About the Author

Sarah Gatling works as an advertising copywriter at Leo Burnett in Chicago. Southern Belles Ring Louder is an accumulation of musings and writings she hopes you’ll enjoy.

. . .

In short, one might say that Folly Beach represents your crazy, unexpectable cousin, Wadmalaw your kitchen-loving granny, and Kiawah Island your discriminating father-in-law. Edisto Island and
Isle of Palms would be your sentimental sisters. And Charleston itself? Well, it would be the
love of your life.

Probably the slightly trashy aunt, once-removed, that everyone rolls their eyes at but loves anyways, if only because she makes life a whole lot more interesting. 🙂
